We are having a major problem with Bank of America. We are being charged major fees for previous month analysis. Apparently based on the former account of the Merrick Library we met their levels without monthly or other service charges. Because the Merrick Library withdrew its account we have been charged large fees without prior written notice. The Friends is considering transferring its assets to another bank.
The book sale has been averaging $40.00 a week.
Lois Calame indicates that the Herald has corrected the hours of the Friends book sale.Lois Calame’s son is designing the Cooking with Friends cook book.
Several members have renewed their membership and Karen Tusa has reminded those present to immediately renew upon receipt of their reminders.
Lori Stayer reminded everyone to submit their ideas for the volunteer policy the Friends will implement.
The burned out bulb in the front room of the wing has not been replaced by the Merrick Library.
The next meeting of the Friends of the Merrick Library will be on Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the Merrick Library.
Motion was made and seconded to adjourn. Meeting adjourned 5:10 p.m.
